I've been registered to PAYE anytime for about a year now but I decided to go about claiming back any USC or tax I may be owed.
So, yesterday I requested P21's for 2012 and 2013. But I'm not sure what I do next, do I have to do anything else or will I just receive whatever I'm owed in a couple of days?

*Additional details* Im a full time student and work part time.

    Thanks.

Nope, you don't have to do anything else. You'll get your p21 in the post or get an email to say it's available online depending on the option you have set up when it's processed and if they have your bank details they'll put the money you're owed (if you are owed some) into your account. It might take longer than a couple of days though. I think it was around a week for the last one I did.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Grand, I have my bank details entered I think if I remember correctly. And does the P21 just sort out USC or USC and Tax?

Sorry for all the q's, as you can tell im new to this type of stuff

When I did my P21 in feb of this year for last year it was processed in 3 days and the payment was in my bank the following morning! Have to say revenue are the only efficient branch of government. DLR Branch for me.

Im in a similar situation to you OP, nice €500 refund due to the way my employer divides our credits by 12.

    Dear Sir,

Never mind a couple of days for a reply- it could take weeks!
but if you are due money back you will get a statement of amount due and the payment will follow automatically.

    Kind regards,

    Atrick

Allo, apologies for thread hijacking but I have a similar query. I just received my PIN and logged into PAYE Anytime. Over the last 4 years I have had several jobs in hospitals that required me to supply and launder my own uniforms. In the 'flat rate expense' section for each year I had the option to claim tax relief for this, I just submitted the requests. Do I just get a refund into my supplied bank account? It seems far too easy...
