How many of these will pull out? Willing to open a book on it?

Looks a strong enough team, especially on track events. Every year we will be missing a few individuals who would strengthen the team but this year on balance it appears stronger than last year. Let's hope for great performances and a few SBs/PBs from our athletes. Should provide another good opportunity for the relay teams also.

Foster didn't express interest this year in joining the relay squad when it was put together a few months ago, as she was US bound and very focused on her individual events for the Commonwealth and Europeans. As for Proper, not sure, she is very strong over 200m at the moment with a PB at the weekend, but again wasn't named a while back when the squads were been put together.

Looks like a very strong team to me if everyone who has been selected is available.

Pretty sure they have to confirm their availability before the announcement

Who is Kevin Batt, running in the 5000? I have never heard of him.

Kevin Batt Declares For Ireland & Will Debut in Cork
Within a few months of the former Australian high jump champion, Liam Zamel Paez transferring his international status to Ireland (his mother comes from Belfast) the talented Australian distance runner Kevin Batt has decided to change his allegience to Ireland also. Batt’s parents were both born in Dublin and emigrated to Australia twenty four years ago.
The twenty three year old who is currently studying at Adams State in the USA is a sub four minute miler with a 3000m pb of 7 mins.52.15secs and has competed at both the World Junior Championships on the track and cross country.
