Horse Tracker

I currently use a "little black book" to record horses I want to follow and I also put a few notes in on each horse.

Just wondering do many of you use online trackers and if so which ones? Would like one that works well with the iphone. Preferably free. Let me know what you guys think and how well the trackers work.

    Thanks!

I use the one on irishracing.com, doubt there's a better free one out there.

Downloaded a great app recently- Nagme.

Free and can add any horse/trainer/jockey- alerts you the night before their respective runs.

gg.com is handy, alerts sent via email. I have not used any others so cant benchmark it against anything else

I used to use the Nag Me from the Sporting Life website. They are not doing it any more.
The service at times was a little unreliable
A few year back I sent them this email:

"Today At 17:15 I received a Nag Me alert to tell me that one of my selected horses Deacon Blue was running in the 3:40 at Newbury tomorrow.
The horse won!, but unfortunately the mail arrived about 2 hours after the horse had finished the race today."

I find the ATR service good.
Might be an idea to use more than one service

Only negative thing I'd have to say is that it doesn't send you emails when a horse is entered outside Ireland and the UK. Have missed a few runners in France and Dubai because of this but otherwise it's brilliant.

Nagme only tends to allow you to follow horses that have raced. Irishracing.com on the other hand seems to cover a lot of these.

It seems to have most horses that have raced in point to points but not many unraced flat horses.

Which reminds me, does anyone know of any site where you can type in the pedegree of a particular unraced horse to find out where they are, what they've been named etc? I was at the National Stud two years ago and a particular foal took a shine to us, so much so the vet who was there commented on it. Got chatting and turned out she was a full sister to Yellow Rosebud who was with Dermot Weld, the vet said even at that stage she'll fetch big money if she goes to the sales. Always said I'd watch her career with interest!

Use the AtTheRaces one find it very good, used it for when i missed downinneworleans win in Limerick after a big absence since his Galway win, turned out useless on his next 2 runs but nevertheless very handy
