Hi....We (wife and 3 kids, 10,8 and 6) are flying in to Stanstead Airport on Friday morning and not flying out again until 5pm.

I'am wondering is there anywhere close we could go to keep the kids occupied or even to go to eat or even if we could go somewhere outside close-by that we find a playground/park.

Maybe its too much hasstle to move out of the airport but thinking that the weather will be nice and the kids will be hard to keep occupied inside the airport.

    Thanks for any help.

Bishops Stortford is 9 mins away by train Theres a good few pubs and restaurants there which would be cheaper than at the airport. Its a town with about 40000 people living in it so there are parks etc. Id be careful not to venture too far away from the airport.

Cheers for that. Is it handy enough to get to the train station at the airport and will it be straight forward enough to get back in then again?

    Sounds good.

Stansted has a Left Baggage service too which may come in handy: http://www.stanstedairport.com/stansted-airport-guide/services-and-facilities/left-baggage

Make sure you've got enough time on the way back for everything!
