A note of the future of this forum

    In light of recent events, we (Mods/Cmods and Admins) are aware that there appear to be some issues in this forum.

    I hope you appreciate in light of the World Cup thread that we do listen and we do act when concerns are raised and we do attempt to reach an amicable solution. To me, it looks like we have achieved that with the World Cup thread.

    Judging by the two threads recently started (and subsequently closed by the mods), I acknowledge that there are issues we need to address. Right now, I am engaging with the mods/cmods an one or two of the admins about where we want to go with the forum. So please bear with us for a while and we will then open up discussion to the wider forum.

    However, I do want to remind people of the general site rules, in addition to the local forum rules. Please remember what is considered acceptable, attack the post, not the poster, when we disagree (and let's face it, the place would be quite boring if we didn't), keep it civil.

    I'm going to lock this particular thread for the time being, however we will be back shortly with an open thread for everyone to give their opinion.
