    Hi,

Just wondering what ID information I am required to bring for my theory test.

I presume, passport, birth cert and the two passport type photographs will suffice?

It says, "Irish Category B (Car) or Category A (Motorcycle) Learner Permit or Full Driving Licence" which is kind of throwing me off a little.

You don't have to bring both your passport and birth certificate with you. Just one of them will do to prove your identity.

You are not required to already have a license to sit your theory test. That would be a bit daft. But if you do have one in another category, you are allowed to use it as your ID. For example, if you already have a motorcycle license & you are doing your theory test to get a B license to drive a car, you can bring your motorbike license with you and use that as your ID. The list of acceptable forms of ID, is just a list of documents that they will accept. As long as you have one of them, you'll be fine. You don't have to have them all.

Did mine this afternoon.Passport and two passport photos (even though they only used one) were grand.
