Air Con not blowing cold air

Hi all, my car is a 05 BMW 116i E87 with a N45 engine, earlier this year I got my air con compressor replaced by a second hard part. I didn't check if the cold air was working at the time, which I should've done. I tried to use the air con this week, and I realised it doesn't blow cold air at all, blower is running fine, it just the compressor doesn't kick in when I press the cold air button on the climate control panel. I've checked Freon with Fast Fit in Donnybrook D4 and it was all fine, I then came to the mechanic who replaced the compressor, he was confident about the compressor, and diagnostic computer showed no fault, he recognised that it could be the switch, I'm not sure what he was talking about, he said there are 3 switches in the air con system, he wanted me to leave the car with him so he can find and replace the faulty one, the question is I work 9 to 5 in Sandyford, it's close to Frank Keane BMW in Blackrock, should I try Frank Keane? I only got the car last summer, I was wondering if they can plug in and tell me more about this car? Or should I leave the car with my mechanic and let him find out the problem, thanks.
