    I'm looking to get away for a quiet week away in a place with good food. We're looking to avoid all the tacky British/Irish pubs. Any suggestions?

    I would recommend North West Croatia ie Istria.
    No Irish pubs in Poreč. Don't know about Rovinj.
    2 1/2 hour flight from Dublin-Pula airport.
