my wife's 2008 corsa has had the abs light coming on recently. it was in for a service in that time and she mentioned it to them but the light didn't come on for them so i'm thinking they forgot about it. does this sound like a loose/dirty sensor and if so is it something a novice could fix themselves??
    thanks

Not specific to your car, but first thing to check is the connectors under the seats.

It possible one of the ABS sensors is faulty
if you get the codes read it might identify which sensor wheel is faulty.

Changing the sensor is easy enough finding out which one is faulty is the problem.

The connections under seat are for airbag and not related to ABS

thanks guys, will see if i can get the codes read to see if there is an error with it. i bought an OBDII (or whatever its called!) bluetooth reader from deal extreme to use with my torque pro app but the bloody thing isn't working!

Ignition has to be on to power elm327 (bluetooth adaptor)
Then your phone has to link to elm327
Bluetooth on phone turned on search for new device. It shows up OBD11 (or something similar) select connect password 1234 if asked.
    Run torque app on phone
youll be asked for password 1234
Then it takes a few seconds for elm327 to connect to cars ECM (ecu)
Then you can read basic fault codes

Not sure if it will detect all ABS codes as these aren't as good as the code readers used by dealer.

My torque app and blutooth reader, does not read abs faults (mitsubishi). You may need to have it read by a garage or someone with a pro grade reader.

I have a similar problem myself with abs and handbrake lights lighting up - which indicates ebd fault on my car, must get it read for clarification but car drives fine at the moment.
