The spring in the rear derailleur of my bike was damaged today while I was carrying the bike in a car.

Does anyone know were I could purchase the spring without having to buy the full mech.

Dunno but are you sure it was damaged rather than just dislodged? Also, for future reference, make sure to transport the bike in the car chain side up. Reduces the likelihood of oil stains on the car also...

Thanks for the info, I was when I dismantled the mech that I seen the spring was broken. Having a bit of hassle locating one if anybody has any info.

You could nip down to the LBS and see if they have an old one they've taken off a bike. It's usually the pivots and such that wear out rather than the spring.
