A couple interesting races today.

Starting with the Downpatrick bumper, the Willie Mullins runner Tempest Missile is being smashed in on the betting off the back of not very much. Currently 6/4 but looks set to go off even shorter than that. From what I can see, the Margaret Mullins trained, Intheolddays could be a bit of a stroke in the making. Horse has been held up another year, presumably in the attempt to give the owners son a chance to get off the mark. A lot of money would have been spent on this horse and I am sure they wouldn't still be persisting with the horse if it didn't have a chance. Currently 8/1, but I think might go a bit higher than this at some stage today. Good ew shout.

11/1 with BetVictor, would be happy to take that.

Downp 5:10 - Like the favourite Fennis Moll, but fancy one of the longer shots too (Quigleys Express). Decent showing from this last time out over course and a similar distance means it's at a competitive mark. Ground should suit and in a mediocre field, we might just see a surprise sprung here. Trainer has struggled for winners (none in two years) and this is reflected in the price (16/1 best available).

Form of his two wins at Warwick looks very good in hindsight with multiple winners coming out of both races, mark of 74 should not be insurmountable and looks well overpriced at the current 10/1.

The outsider of the field here looks to be underestimated on his seasonal reappearance. Secret Look should be able to perform of this mark, being only 1 lbs. higher than his win in a good Newmarket handicap last year. He actually has run well on both his seasonal reappearance’s, and as a 4yo sprinter could well improve this year. 33/1 seem a ridiculous price hopefully there will be a few quid for him before the race.

I’m also going with the 12/1 about Secret Witness here as he has a decent course record and is certainly coming into form at the moment. Top weight is a negative but he has done it in the past.

Travelled well enough just couldnt quicken inside the 2. better stick to the football until tuesday!

His two most recent runs should have him spot on for this and also have him on a very workable mark. There was money for him the last time and with young Hart on board I think this one has a cracking chance
