carp fishing for beginner

    Hey im looking to catch carp and koi carp can anyone please help with rigs sinkers or floats ? Baits ? Hooks stiff like that what will i need to make a few rigs thanks

    I use waggler floats myself. 8lb maxima straight through. Use a float that can cast the distance you need with ease. The amount of shot needed is usually wrote on the float.
    I use size 12-4 hooks depending on what bait I'm using.
    I find tinned luncheon or spam brilliant. Just pinch a bit off or cut into cubes with a knife.
    You can use maggots but it tends to attract a lot of the smaller fish
