Buy small amounts of cane / wicker strands in Ireland?

I've been given an oldish child's chair made of cane and it needs a few repairs which we reckon are easily done ourselves. I'll need about 1 metre of 4mm or 4.5mm chair cane. Can anyone recommend shops in Ireland that stock this? I've found some in the UK but the postage is twice the cost of the cane!

I've had a look at the online Specialist Crafts store but the nearest match is too narrow and there's far too much of it!

I see that Cregal Arts and Cork Art Supplies both have large quantities listed on their websites. You could contact them to see if they do smaller quantities - from my own experience, just because it's not on a website doesn't mean the company doesn't sell it!

Likewise, contact the places that repair furniture/hold classes and see it they're willing to sell 1m.

However, you'll almost certainly pay more than the cost of the cane anyway, as An Post charges €1.05 for even a small envelope thicker than 0.18mm
