I was just wondering if anyone could help add to this list. I wanted to see what notable people born and/or raised in the Republic of Ireland live and work in Northern Ireland. So far, I have

Bairbre de Brún - born in Terenure, Dublin, de Brún studied her postgraduate in Queens University Belfast and taught in an Irish-language school in West Belfast. She also represented Sinn Féin in the European Parliament, and topped the poll in the Northern Ireland constituency in the 2009 European elections.

She has lived in Andersontown in Belfast since the early 1980s.

William 'Willie' Hay - born in Donegal, Hay was elected to Derry City Council in 1981 as a member of the Democratic Unioniost Party. He was also elected Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly in 2007.

He holds an Irish passport and is an Irish citizen.

Conall McDevitt - born in Dublin but raised in Spain, McDevitt was a member of the Social Democratic and Labour Party and an MLA in the NI Assembly, though he resigned in 2013 over undeclared payments.

Catriona Ruane - born in Swinford, Mayo, Ruane was Minister for Education in the NI Assembly. She now lives in Carlingord, Louth, about 11 km from the border.

He apparently has had difficulty getting a British passport. Martin McGuinness said he would try and help him (that's actually true).

Basil McCrea, NI21 leader was also born in Donegal. Former BBC NI journalist Darragh McIntyre (brother of Donal) was from the south.

Barry McGuigan was from Clones and lived for a time in NI, even taking British Citizenship so he could fight for UK domestic titles and compete for NI in the Commonwealth Games. Lives in England now I think.
