Conference + no car

    Hello all,

    New here to boards.ie!

Have a question about correcting. I got given JC OL Irish so my conference is the 26th of the month.

I'm getting the bus down to Athlone as I don't have a car.

How feasible would it be to take the scripts back on public transport? I know that I'd have to get from the conference to the SEC to collect the scripts and then back to the bus station - do you think people would be willing to give lifts?

    Thanks for the help!

I've done it, though on a train. People are usually willing to give a lift to the collection point and to the station, but you could order a taxi for it too.

Thanks so much for the reply spurious.

If I did order a taxi, would it cost a fortune, do you know? I've heard that the drive through process for the scripts takes quite a while.

If you don't meet anyone who can give you a lift, expenses will cover the taxi anyway, just make sure that you get a receipt.

Thanks very much for that Boober Fraggle, wasn't aware of that as this is my first time correcting. That will definitely help! I had planned to ask someone to come collect me but I live a good bit away so trying to see if I can work it out on public transport without too much hassle.

Another last question, is there usually one or two bags of scripts?

    Usually 2.
