Libaries gone haywire

As it seems we have a few in here who know about such things and this is where I was directed for such an enquiry any idea why my computer suddenly started doing this?

Don't think I've installed anything new at least not before I was trying to fix this but now suddenly my libaries folders have turned into blank libary-ms files be they Documents, music, videos or Pictures and when clicked on they are non responsive. They are also like this in the start menu as can be seen in the screen grab.

I can access my files if I go a big round about way each time i.e through my computer - C drive - users - toshiba - my documents... etc (using windows 7 home edition if it helps)

I read online that I should just delete the files and then right click on the libaries folder on the left and choose restore default libaries but it just restores them exactly as they were before the delete as the non responsive folders from the screengrab.

Really confused whats going on and why? I'll probably be able to sort it as even though im no ace on computers ill stumble about with google searches etc until I can find a solution but if anyone knows itd be great

Well when Word 2003 showed up in your start menu I knew that much was obvious.

You should probably also delete security scan plus and do something with Norton - either renew your subscription or uninstall it - because it's not doing anything on your system. Or that red X means you have a virus but I think thats a yellow exclamation point.

if resetting the libraries didn't work, something is probably gone wrong in your windows installation - either a corrupt file or yes, potentially even a virus, might be doing something weird.

Well I havent been using the Security plus or Norton (should delete / un-install them both tbh) but have been using AVG and even got myself AVG tune up 2014 & AVG1 click maintenance (only temporary trials but running like the full thing till thats up)yesterday to see if they could solve the issue incase yeah it was a corrupt file or virus or something that one of those 3 could spot. They have found and fixed some issues apparently but the one I posted about still remains

Anyone know what I should be doing?

I would certainly start by uninstalling programs you arent using and programs that all have the same functionality. multiple antivirus programs installed (running or not) is not the best practice. multiple conflicting softwares can certainly do weird **** to a computer.

Try a system restore to the last date that your computer was working fine, that might do the trick.
