    September
    Bullocks Base 4/Kg

Are you buying and how many do you want? Not saying that we'll get rich at that but €4 in September is a lot better than what is being offered at the moment. I have read all the posts and rationale for this based on numbers of cattle killed / to come in the pipeline for the next few months but it would still be a very unusual year for the price in September to be higher than all that preceded it in 2014. I think you also have to take into account the supply-price balance in the UK. Their price is falling at the moment and (correct me if I'm wrong) I think this is due to increasing supplies of slaughter-age cattle coming along in their supply pipeline. If €4/kg were to happen in Ireland it would then be probably the highest price in Europe.

That said, I really hope you are right.

Farmer pudsey I really like your optimism. But I think the real reason you started this was to try get larry on here and tell us what the prices are going to be whether we like it or not:(

I'd say 4.00 should be on the cards for bullocks in the next few weeks.

that'll be it then till March.. Maybe 4.10 then. It'll be end of April to mid May and we might see another rise . anything I'm killing outa shed I'm budgeting at 4.10.
