Satellite alligning

We tried it ourselves last night with me watching the signal percentage and my partner out moving it slightly all the ways.

An electrician has been in and done all the cabling for me but he didn't know anything about satellites. I have it hooked up to my saorview combi box.

I've looked for a handy man who can do it but I'm not getting any responses.

Is there anyone who does this in the Dublin area?

Is there anything blocking the signal, trees etc? How high on the wall is the dish?

I used this guy sorting out my problems,

If you can bring the Saorview box to a mates house with a dish to tune in all the channels, then reconnect it to your dish it should be possible to allign it yourself.

Thanks for links Adrian and Cush. Will give those that are open a go tomorrow and otherwise wait until Monday. I did find someone this morning who was coming at half 1 then it was half 3 and so on and on but then never showed.

I'm really surprised how difficult it has been to get someone to take the job. None of my tradesmen and onlinetradesmen ads got a response. I'm willing to pay for whatever the call out is to get it done or buy new dish etc.

Also, Atlantic Dawn, thanks for that tip! I can't think of anyone with saorview around me but will send a text out and see.
