Read the small print, it's not Bluray quality, says DVD. Very good series, am anxiously awaiting season 4 of the USA version myself

I had it confirmed from Amazon that this is indeed the Blu-Ray (response from Amazon - "ASIN: B008XKY4GU is the blu-ray edition of title "The Killing - Series 1-3". ")

It's an excellent series, I'd nearly buy this just to see season 3 which I missed. The US version really is a pale imitation.

Have it on BR and I'm a BR advocate but there's nothing special about this release on BR, the DVD is just fine for anyone who's deciding for the cheaper option.

I'm a big fan of netflix and downloading/streaming stuff but disagree with you.

Reasons why they may want to buy this.

They like a physical copy of something.
They like to watch any extras or bonus features on the discs.
They want to watch the 3rd series (since that isn't on netflix).
Their broadband is too flaky/non existent to get netflix.
They have kids who all want to watch netflix at the same time and you can only have 2 on the go at any one time for the €7.
I'm sure There are probably lots of other reasons too.

It's really not that difficult to see why someone might want something that you or others don't.

I think people were confusing the Danish and US versions here so I've changed the title to clarify this is the Danish (3 Series) version.

ya but the danish version is not called the killing its called forbrydelsen, i dont know why so many places insist on calling it the killing,

Maybe because that is what it was called on BBC4? Maybe most non Danish speaking people haven't a clue what forbrydelsen means?

I think the actress who plays Sarah Lund looks better in her jumpers with her hair in a pony tail than when she is glammed up, not that she looks bad either way!
