Western Union Problems

    Help!

I am having a problem with a payment made via WU. I have contacted them but they appear very slow in dealing with the issue. They seem to struggle with finding out exactly what happened at the far end. They seem to use internal emails rather than picking up the phone. I am quite concerned that someone (maybe me) has been ripped off here. I have been dealing with a customer service agent who is proving ineffective at the moment.

Without going into details, the issue revolves around whether an agent at the far end paid out and then took back the funds in question.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can escalate things with them. All the agent suggests so far is to email them. I did this and got an auto response.

Has anyone had any experience like this?

Has anyone any phone numbers (please PM) of live persons who could help me?

    Many thanks

    NMG

Western Union is used quite often by scammers.

I do money transfer but not western union. The problem with it is its anonymous. It is favoured by scammers. Where did you send it to?

If you go back to the agent you sent it from, ask them to do a cancellation. If the money is unclaimed, they may be able to refund it. Otherwise, ask the agent to check with the helpdesk and ask what the status is. Paid out or not.

Thats how it works with my crowd anyway.
