    Hi folks,

Needs a few tips. I got an upgrade of a Sony Xperia z1 compact and am passing on my Xperia t to my other half as her phone, which is on the same network, is broken and she's surviving on a vintage htc. My question is, what is the best was to clean up the phone before she starts using it?Obviously she is going to want to set up all her own email accounts etc and get rid of my apps, etc. is it a simple case of just changing the log in setting for each account and deleting apps manually OR should we do a factory reset? Bit nervous about factory resets but if this is the best way to clean the phone and having it as if just out of the box, then fair enough.....so what do ye think?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mp

Do a factory reset, you'll find it in backup and reset.

Thanks guys. Does the factory reset clear the internal storage? Is the factory reset the same as when you get it new from your operator or is there stuff preloaded on by say meteor which you then loose or does that matter? Do you have to get android updates again? Are their any down sides?

Is factory reset the best or anyone want to state a case for the alternative?

It resets the phone to the same as when you took it out of the box, it will need updating if there are updates for it. It will not wipe the sd card though, you'll need to do that

There are some pc programs that can be used to restore some deleted data (images etc) if that's what you are worried about.
