    Hi,

Anyone now much about these bikes? May be going to have a look at one later- its a 2007 and the owner says its restricted. He thinks it's restricted with an ECU, where as I thought it would be either a throttle stop or washers, anyone know for sure?

If its via the ecu I'm guessing its $$$ to de restrict?

    Thanks

Yamaha generally use a throttle stop. My 2009 factory restricted XJ6 did. Can't say for sure if they did in 2007 but I would guess they do. Will be fairly obvious from looking at the throttle.

    There's a xt660 in my MZ Mastiff.
Think there was a plate in the manifold which was removed by the previous owner.

That's the thing about the 660x, they're sold within hours of going up.

I sold my XT600 within 90 minutes of putting it on done deal.

I was thinking of selling mine, so :)

About the restriction, did you check out xt660.com for info? You may need to join/pay to get the good info. http://www.xt660.com/site/

Not sure why they are so popular?

Rode one few years back and wasn't impressed.
