Dawes Galaxy Cross Touring

Usually a fair range of Dawes touring bikes on special in SPA cycles. Personally, I'd be reluctant to go for 8 speed acera on a new bike, and would rather drop bars than flats for touring, so the Galaxy 2013 at £664 would be my choice over bike you linked at £736.

If you're going for a tourer and go for flat bars, you'll need bars ends if your considering long days on the bike. Drops will be more comfortable still.

Actually, way better still, this Surly is a great buy if its your size, and way better and more stylish than the Dawes.

Thanks, looking to buy new as I'm using the bike to work. Will check out that other galaxy.

If it's the right size, then this looks like a better choice, and the cost after BTW would still be less.

(Also: it's a personal choice, but flat bars would drive me crazy.)
