LTD ST-213?

Hey I'm just wondering about everyone's about these guitars

Here is a link for more info http://www.espguitars.com/products/9772-st-213-maple-car?category_id=1963308-st-series

I tried the 203 version as far as I know the only difference was that they have distressed finishes and 213 don't.

I was amazed at how well they play. I own an ESP Horizon and that neck is my ideal but the LTD was not bad at all. I have pretty much tried all of the LTD range and I find it amazing how great the necks can still be.

They are very good value for sure, 300 euro in the shop I seen it in. What I am worried about is that they are made in China and I think the 213s are made in Vietnam. So naturally I would feel a little uneasy about QC but I wonder if I bought one and changed more or less all of the hardware would it even matter. I know the wood wouldn't be as high a quality but still.

My big problem is if I want a non distressed ESP strat, then this seems to be my only choice.

What do you think of these guitars? Anything else you can add would be a great help.

I very much like the look of these ones:

    Haven't played one though!

Yeah they are part of the same series. I played a 203 and they play fantastic but I'd be doubtful how they'd last over time.

Dont be worried about being made in China
I got a Chinese Classic Vibe strat and it is as good as my USA strat anyday
Most of the bigger companies have very stringent qc and ESP certainly does
Even their highly regarded Edwards brand are Chinese made

I recon you should check out the Classic Vibes as well before you buy !

They look like they are made in vietnam though.

I think I'll end up actually going for a made in japan fender instead.
