Advice on buying Honda Civic Ep2

    Whoever has a car like mentioned in the thread title would ye kindly mention any problems ye faced & pros + cons of the car, or any tips / suggestions if i were to buy one. Thanks :D
    • How are they on petrol?
    • Burn much oil?
    • How much roughly do major insurance companies insure you for without upgrades ( w/o type r kits - mugen spoilers etc )

    Hi, I had a diesel ep2 Civic. Very economical. Was easy to insure and gave very little bother. I put a clutch into it at about 90000 miles but other than that it was normal wear and tear. Dont know anything about the petrols sorry. I would recommend the diesel version but maybe it's not what you're after. Good luck..

    The petrols have good reliable engines but the cars themselves are no where near as reliable as the previous model. Power steering issues and rack failures are all too common and can be costly to put right.

    Gearbox bearing gives bother on some variants too.
