Any early fancies? Some great clashes!

SJP: Think Kingman will reverse form with NOT given the likely smaller field but little value in him.

Queen Anne: Seems to have been serious support for Toronado today, now as low as 11/8. Don't know if I'd be backing him fto over straight mile though. Verrazano should come on for Lockinge run but plenty short around 4's too given he was available at 7/1 straight after that.

POW: Treve should outclass them but Magician may be worth an ew chance @ 8/1 on better ground.

Kings Stand: Hot Streak looks a star but I'll be happy enough to oppose him with the old favourite Sole Power if grounds good, given he's already beaten him snugly this season. AOBs Guerre also interesting at a price.

Diamond Jubilee: Couldn't have been more impressed with Slade Power's last win, travelled beautifully against decent yardsticks and put the race to bed quickly. Think he's improved massively from a promising season last year. Versatile ground-wise and fairly consistent and with his trainer always saying he could be as good as Sole Power, he looks set to deliver.

Gold Cup: Really struggling to see Leading Light beaten. Brown Panther is in the form of his life and while the extra distance is a very slight concern, it shouldn't be an issue while AOB's horse is well ahead in terms of class. His comeback was ultra impressive and very hard not to see a horse rated good enough to supplement in the Arc be too good for the likely field.

Two best bets for me - Slade Power & Leading Light

hope the high pressure thats projecting for the wkend materialises, and Ascot gets some good drying sunshine

just love Royal Ascot when its proper summer ground, none of this soft in places rubbish

the Kingman rematch with NOT will be fascinating, don't see it as the formality for Kingman that many see

hope the O'Brien bandwagon can roll into town in full health, as not finishing out their races the past few weeks, Australia should have won 6 lengths if they were going well

Landing Light and the Great War strong fancies for me in the Cup and Coventry

Lynam has a strong hand in the sprints with the Power horses, but draw is a big factor in these races, so hard to look at these races prior to declarations

didn't see that, some long faces about when he got beaten the last day by Hannons horse in Naas

to be fair, the War Fronts do appear to need it like a road, so might not have been his true running

Looking forward to it. Most of all I want to see if Verrazano can win the Queen Anne. AOB has put life back into him. He looked like a tired worn down horse when he was in the states.

Verrazano for the Queen Anne. Ran a lovely race at Newbury. Should be spot on for the Ascot race. Nap of the meeting.

Maarek probably wont travel with weather forecast looking very decent. And if he does he won't be worth backing.

Slade Power definitely impressive against Maarek last time but Maarek has always been a bit of a weird one with regards to form.

Got beaten by Katla (vastly inferior animal) before coming out and winning the Group 2 on Champions Day 6 days later a couple of years back. Also has a few other results to his name where he was beaten by horses than he is better than.

That's not to say Slade Power didn't beat him at his best but, knowing Maarek very well for a long time, he's not always the most reliable horse to use as a yardstick in runs where he doesn't win as he can run below his best and still fare well in terms of race position.

Very impressive individual alright, but Toronado is miles ahead of him on form.

He was just our for a spin in the Lockinge and ran a very good race under a hands and heels ride. I wouldn't be backing him on anything but good to firm tho.

Does anyone know is cock of the north running in the Coventry
    Currently 33/1
    Surely there's huge value there
Missed the break in his last race and ran on well ,was also very well backed before the off ,race won by tight wiggy

A horse I'll never forget, since I got the word to get on when he won that Maiden in Dundalk @ 14s and had a bet in running also at 25/1. That was the start of it all.

Someone on the tv said 15 mm of rain fell last night on the track. if it rains between now and tuesday it will be soft going.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. The newly laid course drains much better than it used to.

Powers are money back on 2nd and 3rd in the kings stand. Online and in shops.

Sole power my favourite sprinter for a long time but just not sure if i can have him at 7-2 this year

He is 6/1 elsewhere, its would be much better to see what the ground is like if its good-firm he wont be far away..

Really looking forward to the festival, Magician W/O Treve is my bet for the week might have a cut on Leading Light too

9/2 Hot Streak with PP for the Kings Stand is a great price, especially considering their money back offer as a free bet for 2nd and 3rd.

Thankfully Hot Streak is a fairly straightforward ride. He's got plenty of early pace. As long as Spencer doesn't do anything silly (which admittedly he could do!), it should be a case of letting him bowl along and making the most of that pace.

Couldn't agree more, I absolutely loathe the way J.Spencer rides, rarely gives a horse a chance these days
