Bluetooth kit - mute wire

I've hot a head unit in my car with an aux in and I had been looking for a cheap (I.e. 20 quid) Bluetooth device that would let me use my car speakers such as m.ebay.ie/itm/161170862232 but then I realised I'd need to manually switch to aux to use it or perhaps even switch on stereo and then switch.

My stereo has no way of making it switch automatically but it does have a mute wire. I'm now thinking of a Bluetooth kit with own speaker that can just mute the head unit. This way I can talk immediately after answering with no need to fiddle with the radio.

I've found this http://m.ebay.ie/itm/141267658164 which seems like it'd be really handy.

Now here's the bit where I get really picky and awkward:
Is there any cheap similar product that can utilise a mute wire and if possible run of 12v instead of its own battery?

I suppose I'd like feedback on these cheap built in speaker kits in general if anybody can offer any?

Why would you want to use the cars speakers?

That was my first idea, I thought it would just be better sound in general as I was unsure what sort of quality you'd get from the standalone ones.

I've basically resigned myself to the fact that I'd be using a standalone but i just think it would be cool if it muted the radio so I wouldn't need to fiddle with that, the least distractions possible while driving and talking on the phone if you get me.

I'll probably buy the second link or similar but I just wanted to check if there's either a version that can be hard wired so I don't need to charge it ever or one that can mute my radio if it's on and then just use it's own speaker.

And as for asking about general feedback I just want to be sure they work and are maybe a step above built in speakerphone!

Basically the ones that use the cars speakers have their own amp and effectively tap into your cars speaker wiring.
A single speaker is better IMO if you're going cheapo

Ah now I get it. I was thinking I'd have to somehow route it through the aux on the radio but was confused as to how it would always come over the speakers if the head unit was off.

I'm guessing I won't find a cheapie one that'll do the muting but uses it's own speaker but now that I know I'm not being held back by the head units capabilities, is there any budget offerings that install that way, tapping the speaker wires?

I reckon theres a market for a budget knock off if a parrot kit. A budgie maybe :P

Well at the moment none due to the fact that I won't answer cos I'm driving :P

Really not that many at all id imagine. It's more that I like extras in cars and playing with gadgets. I just watched a 30 min video of a guy installing a parrot kit and it looked like something I'd enjoy. I might just put up with no car kit for now and save for a half decent one!
