Anyone selling these in Dublin? Thought I saw them in Vice a while back. I'm after the new Brew version.

Art of Coffee definitely sell the original Keep Cups. Not sure about the new brew glass coffee cup.

I got mine in the Costa in the CHQ building in the IFSC but I'm sure most Costas sell 'em...

All of the above plus branded versions in Insomnia and Stock has a wide variety in South King Street (beside the Stephen's Green Shopping Centre).

Actually, it might have been an Insomnia in the CHQ - not a Costa :D

Phoned them earlier. They have mediums and large in stock in lots of colours including the new Brew version. They also have the limited edition cork grip Medium €35 Large €39 I think. Cheaper by about €6 to order from Hasbean.co.uk but if you can't wait...

€29 on the KeepCup website (not including shipping) and £18 (+ £6 shipping) on hasbean.

    But yes, very pricey!

Cafe Sol stock their range of branded original keepcups. Light Grey body with and orange lid and dark grey band. €9 and a free coffee for the 340ml size. Picked one up for the office this morning in Baggott St Lower outlet..
Might get one for the car as well.

Good to know but I'd much prefer drinking my coffee out of a glass cup. Huge difference in price though.

What's the deal with these then? Are they just marketing themselves as a 'greener' option than a disposable cup and charging an extortionate price for the privilege or is there something else wonderful about the cup that I'm not reading?

The Lord himself couldn't prise my double-wall stainless travel cup away from me but I'd like to know if I'm missing out on something...

I find the original keep cup great for the car as I have a dash mounted drinks holder which most travel mugs are too top heavy for.

It's for the highly-desired 'plastic' note in coffee.

I'm kinda interested in getting one of these... Is there any after-taste from the plastic? What is the spout like? Does it spill?

I usually use a ceramic takeaway cup:

I gave in and bought the limited edition (and more pricey :() Cork band Brew version in Stock. Was going away and wanted something nice to drink my coffee in. I've used it nearly every day since. Nice to be able to see the colour of the brewed coffee.

One reason I never liked the plethora of tumblers on the market was that the coffee or tea never tasted the same as out of an ordinary cup.

Was there any taste deficiencies from the brew??

Not that I could detect with the lid off, lid on - similar to most lidded coffee tumblers.
