Any advice for getting to and from HP in celbridge daily for work from Walkinstown/Kimmage area?

Only thing I can think of is into town and back out on the 66b, any other suggestions?

tried all those sites, a-b and jouney planner, the google transport planner etc etc but none of them really take into account other modes of transport i.e private buses, cycling & ride etc etc

There is a shuttle from Leixlip Louisa Bridge Station, if you can get there on PT that might open up your options.

www.a-b.ie covers every licensed public transport operator including private services.

It will give you the public transport options, as will google maps.

What it won't do is give you private bus services that are limited to company employees.

I would suggest the 18 to Palmerston, and then the 66b.

    Alternatively, it's:
*27 to Connolly and train to Louisa Bridge and shuttle bus
*Bus to city centre and 66b from there

Another option would be to take the 18 from Kimmage, and change onto the 66B at Palmerstown, where the two routes cross.

The 67 bus gets you close by without the tour of Leixlip. Hop off it just after the Agri labs/Weston aerodrome and walk in from the main road past Barnhall RFC.

It may be awkward to get to but perhaps a train from Parkwest to Hazelhatch/Celbridge and a feeder bus from there would do it; Bartons did run a feeder route at some stage. I'm sure that HP staff will fill you in on this option.

this looks like a winner - 18 down to kennelsfort road and then out to the Lucan road for the 66.. thanks!

Just be sure to use www.a-b.ie or google maps.

Leave wriggle room for the changeover at Palmerston between the 18 and 66b.

    Would you consider cycling?

Just under 10 miles from Walkinstown roundabout. Sounds a lot but if you are reasonably fit it would be no bother. Even if you are not fit you could start a couple of days a week or even in one day on the bike and home on the bus. It would be a lot quicker than 2 buses.

it's not for me, it is for a relative from Antrim coming to stay with me while she's on placement in HP... its only for 6 weeks then she is moving to an apt in town...

cycle would be ideal for me, but I don't think its a runner for her..
