I am a non european citizen living here In Ireland. My husband got his citizenship by descent. My husband just need to apply for a jobseeker's allowance since he is just working 2x a week, and they don't pay him
Sometimes coz the said they're training him which is really hard for us. And i only get part time job which is 2x a month or sometimes nothing. I enrolled to a plc course last september and just finished it this june. And i am Currently looking for a job but no luck yet. I was wondering if i apply for irish citizenship and my husband is getting welfare from the government will my application for citizenship be affected? Even if i am just his dependent? I didnt apply for myself since i am concerned about my citizenship application. And i am really contented with what we have since we got more than what we have here back home. Hope someone can answer my query. Thanks!

If your husband is working part time what is stopping you from working part/full time?

did you contact citizenshop section or else to check requirements?

As i mentioned i only work part time job which is 2x a month or sometimes none. If there's job out there. I will grab anything.

They cant answer my question. They said its up to the dept of justice. They dont know if that will affect of not.

I was wondering if someone has the same situation as i am to answer my query.
