How does applying for a CE scheme work?

I applied for some and I was told by Solas (or what's known as FÁS now) that the company would contact me. I saw the girl enter in my details for a fw of them but nothing ever came of it.
I think there was about 2-3 names for each scheme at most.

This was a few weeks ago and I'm going down today. I'd just like to know if anyone has any insight or advice over it.

Going to Solas/Fas and asking them to confirm your eligibility for and interest in the job to the employer is the first step. The second step is for you to contact the employer (details given on the right hand side of the CE job advert) and send your CV/letter of application etc.

The Intreo office at your local dole centre handles c.e. schemes now.

I was told in Intreo that they entered me in for it and to expect the companies to call me since I have no way to contact them (all I got from the website was where the job was).

But that was weeks ago so I'm kinda confused.
