Is there a bridge for cyclists or pedestrians to take us across the M50 at the Red cow interchange. Looks scary!
I'm looking to follow the N7.

I cycle along the road frequently enough, haven't found it that bad. Inbound I tend to pop onto Monastery Road and then follow the course of that.

Cian Ginty has the lowdown on the ped/cycle crossing at http://irishcycle.com/2014/01/27/irish-cycle-facility-of-the-week-2/

There is. It's pretty hard to figure out though, even knowing it was there I failed to find it, probably because I couldn't believe what I was supposed to do or that there is nothing to indicate cyclists are allowed on it.

There's a web page decrying it here:

Since I got gazumped by Buffalo I'll edit to add that my experience being passed by cars going at high speeds on both sides of me when entering and exiting the roundabout put me off this permanently.

Me too. I had to visit my mother in Tallaght hospital, coming from Kilmainham. I switched to Greenhills Road after trying to figure that interchange out.

I tend to pass through at either rush hour (bumper to bumper) or when it's fairly quiet, so haven't had the same experience. I keep thinking that I must try the cycle route, but I have to succeed in working out how to start when I'm out there.

Beyond Newlands Cross (outbound) where the hard shoulder disappears and the 'no cyclists allowed' signs appear - that's where the fun times begin! :pac:

Can't see his map on Firefox or explorer, where's the entrance on the city side.

Go up onto the pedestrian/bike bridge by Moran's hotel, and then go down the middle. You should end up in the Luas station. Exit via the car park.
