    Hi all,

I have a Giant SCR 4.0 that I'd like to turn into a single speed. I don't like the low position handlebars on a road bike so would love to hear any suggestions on handlebars that would sit me up high when I cycle. Also, any suggestions with what to do/how to change the brake/gear shift....I guess if its single speed I wouldn't need the gear shift!!!

Lastly, any recommendations on who to go to for respray

    Thank you

Might be cheaper and less hassle just to sell the Giant and buy a singlespeed.

Any suggestions on how much I would get? I kinda want the project really.

Sell it and buy the parts. Get a frame with horizontal drop outs for a start. Seriously, it's not a project you're taking on, it's a headache.

I couldn't comment on the bike without seeing it, but if you got between 250 and 300 for an SCR 4.0 (2008) I'd say you were doing well.
