travelling with EI from DUB to MAN on the 22nd of June and connecting onto VS75 to Orlando (MCO) what is the baggage allowance for both airline and will Aer Lingus be able to check the bag onto MCO or will it have to be picked up and rechecked in MAN.

Wife recently travelled to Gatwick with EI then onto MCO with Virgin. Bag was checked straight through, but it didn't turn up at the far end (MCO) for another 3 days so be prepared for that!. I'm pretty sure of the following: checked allowance is 23KG, cabin 6KG. She didn't have to pay anything for the checked bag with EI, so I imagine the 23Kg allowance applies here too.

If it's a consolidated ticket (i.e. one ticket covering both segments) then your luggage will be checked-in through. Aer Lingus has an interline agreement with Virgin. As Virgin is operating the longest sector, the checked luggage rules applicable to that sector will be applicable throughout. But for hand luggage it's best to check both Aer Lingus and Virgin's rules and stay within the limits for both to be safe.
