    Hi.
Looking at a 08 Seat Leon in a garage where it is on sale @ 9999.
High spec but still pricey for the model.
I am a cash buyer so my question is " How much should I offer "in order to get the best deal.

Depends on what it's worth and how it's priced.

Forgetting the particular car perhaps I should have asked " as a cash customer what discount should I expect off the asking price " in general.

The dealers usually prefer finance customers - they make extra money that way.

So, a cash buyer should expect no more discount than a customer requiring finance - and possibly less of a discount.

In my experience you will get €500 off just for saying hello to the salesman :D.

If it was me I would offer €8500 and try to push for €9k with a hope to get it for at an absolute max of €9250.

There is no set formula or fixed percentage when it comes to a cash discount on a particular car. It all depends on the asking price of the car compared to similar cars, how much the car owes the dealer who bought it, etc.
