I've never seen a professional tennis match live so I'd like to go see one. What would be a good tournament to go see? One that will attract a lot of the top players, has a good atmosphere and is easily (and affordably) reached from Ireland.

    Any suggestions?

Thats a tough one because it depends on the matches you get to see. This year I was at the Murray/Nadal match at the Rome Master which was great because it was such a competitive match. I was also there for the 3 semi finals on the saturday and while it was good being there the excitement and atmosphere was not as good as the previous evening.

Loads of tournaments to choose from, depending on whether you'd like to see WTA or ATP tennis.

WTA tournaments around Europe now wouldn't get the big names. ATP Paris Masters in October could be good and the top players usually attend. World Tour Finals in November. It's a bit short notice but Wimbledon starts the 23rd June.

Good shout. Going to over next year to see 3 days. Q/F, s/f and final for €300ish a ticket. 2013 line up was adjoining, Nadal, Fed and Ferrer in the semis apparently.
