Leaking expansion vessel

I have a maxivarem expansion vessel in my garage for my submersible well, I noticed it leaking from the bottom this morning.

I drained it and found a small hole in the flange on the bottom.

I soldered the hole but what id like to know is, would it be a big job to replace the flange myself, I have an image that if I took the flange off I could open a can of worms.

Is it a straight forward as take it of replace with new?

Just replace the vessel. Some parts are not supposed to be repaired & will / may not function properly. An expansion vessel is not expensive at all

    Insides are probably in tatters.

replace. Thats the only thing that saves your pump. Its alot cheaper than a pump.

Any idea how much a new one is?

We'd need a pic of the old one first
