    Hi Folks,

I'm getting an oven and separate combi oven installed. (both rated @16A)

The cable is 10 sq and MCB is 32a - the question is can both units be switched from the existing cooker switch. i.e 2 tails coming out of the 1 switch. Is this ok regulation wise and will both cables fit in the terminals??

    Any help would be great

you can connect 2 cooking appliances as long as the loading is ok

each appliance has to be a maximum 2m from the switch

you can wire the appliances into an outlet plate or box

    Thanks Tom.

Any chance you could send on a link to the outlet plate you would recommend?

Each appliance isnt being fused correctly, you said each appliance is rated at 16 amps and your mcb is 32amps. The cable has plenty capacity to power the two appliances its the fusing is the problem.

Fuse down that 10 square to suit the loading on one appliance and install a new supply cable for second appliance and fuse it appropriately.

So 2 completely separate cable runs MCB and switch for each appliance?

    I think prob 2 16amp circuits

they're not an oven and hob that would normally double up on the circuit

if they're not combined on the 1 isolator

    then they need 1 each

the rules refer to "oven and hob" on 1 isolator
