Hi I started university at the end of September 2012 only to be offered full time employment two weeks into the first semester. The job was a long sought after career that had always been my plan A and when I got the offer I had to jump at it.

Anyway I called the university and let them know that I was taking up full time employment immediately and that I wouldn't be back and thanked them for their services and hospitality.

In the early months of 2013 I got a few letters asking me to pay tuition fees of £250 which I perceived as a mistake in their system as I no longer attended the university. The same letter came maybe 2-3 times more so I rang and was told I would be contacted about the issue but I heard no more.

Yesterday a letter came through the door informing me that I had an outstanding payment of £850 that if not paid by 20th June would be passed onto the university's solicitor and I would be taken to court.

This is a massive headache especially as I'm in the middle of buying my first car.

Can anyone tell me what is goin on here? As I am a little bit freaked out.
