Just wondering what the going rate for a 1000 gallons of slurry collected is going for in different parts of the country.

Last price I had was months ago and it was 25 for 2000 gallons, ye had to be taking a good bit for that price though.

The silage's not even yet and I'm already getting ahead of myself ! ! !

We looked yrs ago and it was free. But could not draw it oirselves . had to pay a lad to draw and spread. Piggery only 5 miles away. Mad to get dome all the time

It's free to draw it yourself where I work or I think it's 50 euro per load spread with a 4000 gallon tanker must find out soon as could do with some spread soon myself.
All the tanks are still fairly full here so they're mad to get rid of it

Same here, they will deliver all they can, up till they hit the import limit on your nitrates plan. Plus if you take it in early spring, before the closed season ends, you will be first on the list. No use refusing it in Feb. and looking for it now. Won't happen.

We're barred as well. Used to take a good bit when we had more tillage and less stock.

I like the sound of free, pity cavan is kinda far away.

We've only one piggery close to us and even that's not that close really. The other side of the piggery has
a good few fields in maize and that's where I reckon it's been going.

The last time we actually got slurry it was 5 for 2000 gallons and I think that was to discourage messers as I don't ever remember actually paying.

Can't really blame them tbh. They get scrutinised so they can't be messing around

It completely depends on slurry, u could get real black stuff from fatteners or end of tank and it is mighty stuff or u could get the rinsing of sow unit, low value there especially if ur buying it.

really black stuff needs diluting with cattle slurry. works like
    Gramoxone otherwise !

You will have your nitrates statement to hand? It outlines N. limits. Piggery guy will translate that to gallons possible.
