Power requirement R9 290

Hey I was thinking about upgrading from a R9 270x to a R9 290 soon, Was looking at the Tri-X.

I have a Corsair 500w and was wondering if it'd be enough. CPU if you're wondering is a Fx 6300

They are very power hungry especially if you have both overclocked.

500w should be okay but if overclocked you would be pushing the limit!

Any other card you would be fine!

The ratings i did though was at 90% push for both so might be okay. Others might have a better idea

Thanks mate unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get a 290 since the cards seem to be to big. Have a Zalman Z9 plus and I don't think you can take the drives out at the front.

Might have to go with a 280x unless I manage to find a way to take the drives out

According to these guys it's the Gigabyte Windforce on idle, and the Sapphire Tri-X under a gaming load.

Get the gigabyte. Too much trouble with the tri x lately on here.
