Picked up a Saab 95 aero hot recently and knew about the sludge issue having previously owned a 93, I can tell the sump has never been off as there are knock out parts of the sump that needs to be drilled. It has 150k on it, good service history. Here are the pictures, strainer on them gets blocked and basically causes oil starvation. It was pretty blocked up! Glad I did it now and hopefully keeps her going for good few years!!

Nice, hope we get some during and after pics too if you have them?
How did you clean it up?

Cheers, left it soaking in petrol over night, then used wire sponge to get all the heavy ****, then the fun part, blasted them with a pressure washer :D, dried it all up and reassembled with a new oil filter and fresh oil
