Opening a port on your router is not the most secure thing to do. You could set up VPN. I wrote a guide here on how to set it up:

Unless I am missing something that is not what he is asking.

He does not want to access the stream remotely.

He wants the rtmp URL to play on his VU+ to view on his TV.

Oh right. In that case, simply install the plugin called OnDemand. It has RTEPlayer

I don't think Ondemand does the live streams. Ondemand is the RTE player for archived shows.

I think it is more along the lines of live streaming adding it to bouquets. AFAIK it requires a RTMPE plugin.

Of course those streams are an example of how RTE offer their streaming for live channels. Same principle, but the stream itself for the GAA will be specific on the day as it is not a live station.

Or if you have an iOS or Android device, use the RTE Player app to stream and use the Airplay addon on Vu to stream from the device to the TV.

Just a word of thanks to all who took the time to reply. In post5 STB is correct in his reading of my first post.I read the link posted by FBRADYIRL in #4 post.I'm running the latest blk.hole image. This has openvpn app.which can be activated if required.Would this be of any assistance for streaming?

Does the RTE Player app have the live sport that is not a channel ? I think you must use the full version of the website to see that and android does not support flash so you cannot stream the sports links.

I have yet to find anything other than Twonkey that works with the Open Airplay E2 plugin and that doesn't even work with RTE Player (just Youtube and non H264 encoded media files).

    What have you found ?

on the game in question I located a feed which I was delighted with, but the feed hunters reckon the replay of Galway v Kilkenny is unlikely to be available, even as a feed.Again thank you all for taking time to reply, much appreciated.
