Lots of signs up in Raheen about Regeneron project.

Does anybody know what kind of jobs are going to be available and when?
Will this be a major jobs boost to the area?

I work there and I have to say I was lured by the money on offer but from the time I step inside that building it was hell , the management are not nice people and make you feel very small indeed , all other workers are nice people and are running afraid to open there mouths , I currently work there and am looking for something else to get the hell out there , Vistakon would be 100 times better then this so called company .
So take my advise don't even apply for a job here ,

Seems the person who drives their regeneron car in and out from limerick has a special dispensation to break speed limits on a contineous basis. Must be one of them there road warriors.

Anyone had any word on what Regeneron is like to work in?
    In the labs especially?

It's not up and running yet, it's still in construction. Labs aren't yet finished

They have took on lab personnel the last few months though? Unless they're just training them in at present.

friend works on construction out there, they have already hired workers from what he's told. they won't be starting until two years fine or something not dully sure but it's a real American company really strict with workers smoking and parking

is the general consensus still that they are hard to work for?
do they pay well in general does anyone know?

Speaking as somebody who has been working on the development here in Limerick as an employee of one of the main contractors here for the last 12 months, I can't really say they're any more difficult to work for compared to some other pharmaceutical companies I've done work for. Obviously this could be completely different than working as a direct employee.

Yes they have hired a lot of staff, but seems to be predominantly for training purposes at the moment, and for the next year or more. I know a staff member who has been on training with them for the last 2 months, he's been sent to the US and Europe for training at different facilities. I am not in a position to say if they pay well or not.

So is there anyone on here that has started working for regeneron that can shed some light on what kind of company they are to work for? Loads of jobs advertised but it seems no one knows anyone working there??

Hello just wondering if anyone has had further feedback on what they are like to work for?

Still don't know anyone that has been hired by them.. seems they are determined to get people with bio pharm experience. .

They had an open day recently and openly admitted to everyone there that they are having huge problems finding staff. They want people with 5 years bioPharma experience but they just aren't out there in the numbers that they need. They said they expect to be still recruiting 2 years from now....

I heard the money is very good in there

At the moment it's impossible to get in there.. I suppose two years will tell a lot about what the work environment in there is like in there in comparison to some of the other large manufacturing employers within limerick.. I would have thought with Roche closing down in clare castle they would have gained a lot of possible candidates from there...

Was speaking to one of their HR staff recently and they mentioned that they are only coming out R&D and into full production this year. I'd say the recruitment for staff with less than 5 years specific experience will ramp up this year.

I recently got selected to take part in the Graduate Assessment Centre for the position of Biotech Production Specialist. Coming from a mechanical engineering background with no biopharma experience, i reckon i'll have a steep leaning curve if i am successful in securing a position.

    Hi there,

I am wondering what the current starting graduate salary is for a process scientist in Regeneron in Limerick. Any rough estimates out there? Cheers

Money is very good in all Pharma companies really. But you will earn it.
Rengeron give 27 days holidays as well as a host of perks.
I spent 2 years in a Pharma Company in IT and it took some adjustment to get used to all the processes in place. Mad mad busy but days/weeks/months were just a blur which was great.

No idea but I imagine low 30's.
DependIng how well you do this could rapidly rise over a few years. I got a 5k rise and they were apologIsing it was low due to the contractor budget but I wasn't expecting even a raise.
