Climb is more of a long drag fast enough descent of that and run into finish

i was upgraded there last year after an epic 25km warm up that saw a few of us get lost and just make it back to the line about 2 minutes before the start of the race!

Its bizarre with all the technology available that there is not one central point where all the information needed is available!

Is it a handicap race or are there separate A1/A2, A3 and A4 races?

Felt I missed the boat today I was in strong placing position at end of race before the sprint gallop jumped me..I let the gallop grouping get about 5 metres on me (just so i could observe and avoid getting caught up in an early spill) thinking I could rein them in and catch by the line, but i seemed to take an age to get my own gallop going and by the end despite the fact I was gaining on those contesting the sprint I had left it too late..the same tactic worked for me in Navan last week but this week I was missing the assist of a strong tailwind in the last 300 metres!

Another well run race by one of our smaller clubs. By the standard of A4 races I've done this year the group rode in a largely safe manner bar one of two over..more clumsy than reckless but one lad had a recurring of habit of trying to force himself through gaps that were not there for no good reason..

If I have one gripe I feel i had to name and shame on its the behavior of one Westport rider throwing her gel wrappers to the four winds yesterday..she had a back pocket to dispose of her gel wrappers but didn't think of using that option...after I berated her the first time for it she issued a loud "Sorry''..a lap or two later she did the same thing again..much less conspicuously but I saw it all the same..I didn't raise it with her a second time but I'd love to know if she would do the same so readily riding in Westport, just thought it was so needless and in regard to the local community who work so hard to retain Castlecoote as one of the tidiest villages in Ireland seeing such littering doesn't do the local cycling club or wider cycling community any favours.

That was me that threw gel and ur right it was completely wrong. Coming from one of the tidiest towns in Ireland It was a bad judgement call... A lap of concentration to b honest... But it was only one gel as I shoved the other one down my jersey where it remained till I changed my clothes. For de initial gel throw I am mortified but can assure u it was only 1.
