Swapping Characters (some spoilers)

    If you could swap any character that has died with any character has lived, who would you pick and how would it have changed the story?

    For example if Ned had lived but say Joffrey had been killed by Nymeria etc etc.

    Story wise the below aren't really linked but...
    The Hound and Oberyn to have lived

    Get rid of Daenerys.....keep her brother.

    Baedric Dondarrion to have lived - get rid of Lady Stoneheart/Cat

    Nymeria to have died but Grey Wind to have lived. I like the idea of Arya without her wolf and Grey Wind without Robb. The TV show though doesn't really mention Nymeria or her pack at all though so not sure how it would play out

    I'd love to have seen Oberyn survive

    And could have done without
    Lady Stoneheart, I'm just not a fan of the necromancy/zombies stuff in the ASOIAF setting

    I'd have liked to see Ned reacting to the war, but with him being part of the cause it might not have happened. Perhaps if Joffrey had started punishing Sansa earlier?

    actually 5 books later we're probably going back to a doraki westeros invasion
