Hi, I'm thinking of getting the Samsung galaxy s4 mini.

I used to have an iphone and other than calls I used it mostly for listening to music, I've tons purchased from iTunes.
If I get an android phone can I download the music I have purchased from iTunes onto it? most of it was already downloaded onto the iphone which is long broken , I also have some of it downloaded to my iPad.

Someone told me that music was free on android phones, is this true? I don't know if they meant that it's free on an app to stream which would use data or can it be loaded onto the device to listen to without any data usage.
    Thanks

You can transfer everything excluding apps from iTunes to a Samsung using Samsung Smart Switch (you can just download the Android version of the apps).

Or, seeing as you'd have a Google account, you can simply upload all of your music to your Google Play Music and stream/download all of your songs to the S4 Mini to save on storage space. Or you can download a load of them to the device.

I've been using Play Music for about 2 years now and it works like a charm, much much smoother than iTunes tbh.

Any recommendations for dragging and dropping files from iTunes itself to my HTC One? My iTunes library source files are all over the place from when I initially ripped my CD collection years ago. Several thousand source files labeled "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album" doesn't make for easy searching!
