    & off the same tees as the Men... There's good hitting down in Arklow off the Blues... I can only assume they were all playing off the tips, 64 is some pretty impressive shooting.

    Are you sure it was off the same tees? Some achievement either way!

    It was the same tees alright. Let's be honest, if it wasn't it wouldn't be such an achievement.

    Arklow is a tough test off the Blues.

    I think the confusion came from when Shane Lowry tweeted Brian Keogh (the writer of the article above) asking if it was off the same tees and he replied "Normally 10-14% forward but still impressive"

    But since... Arklow Golf Club replied and confirmed that it was indeed from the same tees.

    Some achievement, there wasn't a pro to be seen at the Spawell earlier.
    Might pop in again tomorrow to see how the heads are.

    She seems like an excellent teacher to boot.

    She would play a course that is roughly 13% shorter then the men. She may have played a couple of holes where her tees were in the same position as the men. But not all tees were.

    Arklow's tweet is incorrect.

    This is not in anyway belittling Hazel's achievement. It was a great win.

    I've been considering going to her myself.
    Half because I've been impressed by her methods and the other half... Well, I've nestled up in the bay beside where she gives lessons one to many times, time to start paying her :)

    Absolutely delighted. I had a round of lessons with Hazel about 5 or 6 years ago and still go back to those notes when playing badly. She was really nice to deal with and hope she enjoys this!!
