I finished my first cut of silage last week. Once the grass regrows I intend to graze the fields. Is it worthwhile applying half a bag of N to the acre or should I hold onto the fertilizer until later in the season?

If you have a low stocking rate not much point in putting out fertilizer now. What I do is give the whole farm a bag of can to the acre in August to bank up grass to keep grazing until mid late December.
