rear tractor tyres filled with water

    The rear wheels on our tractor are filled with water. I presume it was done the first day for weight for the front loader, we only have it 4 years.. but people keep pointing out to me that the wheels often look as if they are very soft. Now having no experience with liquid filled tyres, is that normal or can one pump air in too??

    Pump with air when valve is at top dead centre.

    Make sure there is antifreeze in it

    I presume they must be cos it was grand the real hard winter 3 years ago before I even realised that they were filled with water...
